Power supply dealt with two Radeon R9 295X2 at 30 degrees room temperature
The German website of Tom's Hardware has published an extreme test of the Power Zone 1000W. Two Radeon-R9-295 X 2 graphics cards at 30 degree room temperature were connected. The power supply solved the task without any problems. As an explanation for the superior performance the editor mentioned the better design of the 12-volt outputs for the PCIe connectors.
“We use a be quiet! Power Zone 1000W for this experiment in our self-imposed hotbox with approx. 30° C room temperature. Surprisingly there is no loss. Reason may be the better design of the 12-volt outputs for the PCIe connectors.”
